BLM Co-Founder Patrisse Cullors Admits Using BLM Property for Personal Use

There are a lot of organizations that are meant for good but you hate to hear that money you've given to these organizations are going into pockets instead of community issues. Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors has been saying she didn't use funds from BLM for personal use. She was accused of purchasing a big, $6 million mansion with the money with a few other BLM members, only to deny that and say the organization bought the home as a free space for creatives, that is also a meeting venue and influencer home, etc. for members in the community of BLM. Cullors has been accused of misusing the funds and well, she finally admits it. The New York Post said Cullors admitted that she did lie when she denied using the group's mansion only for official business. Cullors admits threw a private birthday party for her son at the property in March 2021, and she intended to pay a rental fee to BLM. That's not a good look when people are accusing you is misusing funds. But in the interview with Associated Press, she said she did make bad choices and assures no one ever personally benefitted while leading BLM. She also admits they weren't prepared for the amount of money they came in to BLM after George Floyd's death and the organization is trying to get the infrastructure in place, although Cullors has resigned.
