I swear HBCUs seem to be the trend these days. More and more people are recognizing the institutions that have been around for years. There are even plenty of celebrities who have attended HBCU's and are HBCU proud. Well, President Joe Biden is also showing these schools and students a lot of love. President Biden recently appointed several people, including Taraji P. Henson and Chris Paul to the White House board of advisers on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Hill reports the board is tasked with advancing the goal of the of the HBCU Initiative, which dates back to the Carter Administration and aims to increase the capacity of HBCUs to provide the highest-quality education to its students and continue serving as engines of opportunity. Taraji, Chris and United Airlines president Brett Hart are among the 18 members of the President's board of advisers on HBCUs.
