You know it's disappointing when you pull up to your fave fast food spot and the ice cream machine isn't working. That has been a running joke about McDonald's for some time now. Well McDonald's is being hit with a $900 million lawsuit over those ice cream machines. According to The Hill, Kytch, a Delaware-based company responsible for the device that repairs the ice-cream machines has filed the lawsuit. Kytch claims McDonald’s allegedly making derogatory remarks through false advertisement. McDonald's is accused of having sent emails to franchisees saying that Kytch devices violated the machines' warranties and intercepted their confidential information. McDonalds even said the device could pose a safety threat and potentially cause injuries. Kytch says its not true. They say those claims are false and defamatory. Its lawsuit is also critical of Taylor Company, which is the chain's main provider of ice cream machines. Kytch also claims Taylor allows its own machines to malfunction or remain finicky for profit. This definitely sounds like a crazy lawsuit, but we get it. Remember, McDonald's had their machines investigated by the Federal Trade Commission over complaints of their ice cream machines at one point.
