Anthony Mackie is out here getting that Disney/Marvel Universe money, but he is still grinding. We are waiting for him to take that shield as the next Captain America but until that happens, Anthony will star in a new series, Twisted Metal. Deadline reports Anthony will star in the live-action adaptation of the popular video game. He will play the lead role of John Doe. Not only will Anthony star in the adaptation, but he will also executive produce the Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions' show. And where can you possibly watch the series? Well, it looks like it will be on Peacock for streaming. The series, which is described as “a high-octane action-comedy,” will be comprised of 30-minute episodes. As far as Anthony's character, he is described as having no memory of his past, "he gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make his wish of finding community come true, but only if he can survive an onslaught of savage vehicular combat." Anthony loves those action movies.
