This season of football was definitely a bit bizarre. There were several coaches being fired, several players lying about getting the COVID-19 vaccine and even players walking off the field during a game. Now, we can add to all of that, lawsuits. TMZ reports Coach Brian Flores is firing off a lawsuit against the NFL and New York Giants over racism. He said he received tat text from his former boss and Patriots head coach days before he interviewed with the Giants. During the conversation, Flores says Bill Belichick congratulated him on landing the new gig. But at the time, Brian didn't have his interview. Belichick eventually admits he misread the information he received and said it was actually Brian Daboll who got the job. Brian says he was forced to sit through dinner with the Giants GM, when they already knew Daboll was going to be named as coach. Brian claims it was a sham interview just for the NFL to comply with Rooney's Rule, basically, the team has to interview a minority for a position. The NFL is saying the lawsuit is without merit. Meanwhile, there is still only one Black head coach in the NFL. We will see if this lawsuit really holds up.
