If you didn't realize it, it is award season. However there are a lot of shows that are changing things up because of COVID-related issues. Some award shows have been postponed, but others are changing up who is invited to the show. One award show had a lot of talk about the lack of diversity and that's the Golden Globe Awards. The show had some controversy last year and NBC decided to pull out and not air the award show, but the show goes on. The only thing is, it wasn't really talked about or broadcasted. According to Variety, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the winners of the 2022 Golden Globes via Twitter on Sunday night. There was no media in attendance or celebrities walking the red carpet, like years past. So who won? Well, there was some history made with Michaela Jae Rodriguez won Best TV Actress – Drama Series for Pose as the first trans woman to win. Plus, Will Smith picked up a Golden Globe for his role in King Richard in Best Movie Actor in a Drama. And if you haven't seen the Disney movie "Encanto," you must. It even won for Best Motion Picture Animated.
