A Producer Says Lil Nas X Stole "Rodeo" Beat and Names Cardi B in Case

Lil Nas X may find himself a bit guilty in ripping off a song. Or do we blame him? According to TMZ, a producer is suing Lil Nas X and Cardi B over a beat. Producer Brandon Lee says he wrote a song called "gwenXdonlee4-142" and it was incorporated into a song called "Broad Day." Well after he released his song, he claims Cardi and X released their song "Rodeo" during the summer. And it gets deeps because it's all about the beat. Lee says in his lawsuit, they're both built on a 4-measure phrase outlining the cord progression E, F, G, F, E as well as having the same tempo. He claims his song was widely spread throughout Atlanta. Lee also lists Sony Music Entertainment, Columbia Records and Cardi's former manager, Klenord Raphael. Well, you tell us does he have a case or not and take a listen.
