Cori Gauff Makes History Beating Venus Williams at Wimbledon

Let's talk about black girl magic. Congratulations to 15-year-old Cori Gauff, known as Coco, who beat Venus Williams at Wimbledon. Cori defeated her tennis idol in the first round of women's singles and is Wimbledon's youngest ever qualifier, according to People. Venus, who has won about 5 Wimbledon titles, lost to Coco, who is more than half of Venus' age. Is Venus upset, of course, but she gave young Coco great compliments, saying, "She put the ball in the court, which was much better than I did. She served well, moved well. It was a great match for her." And clearly, this has to be a dream come true for Coco who said she wanted to share the court with the Williams sisters, Venus and Serena. So congrats to Cori!
