Sephora to Close for Diversity Training After Sza Incident

No one wants to walk into a store and have an employee profile them because of their own insecurities. Not everyone is a thief. Sza felt some type of way when she says as woman profiled her while she was shopping at a Sephora makeup store in California, with the woman thinking Sza was stealing. Clearly, the employee didn't realize Sza was a Grammy-nominated singer with celebrity friends while Sza was shopping for some Fenty makeup. After Sza blasted the woman and store on social media, the store is deciding to take some action. According to People, Sephora will briefly close its store doors this week on June 5th to basically hold diversity training after Sza's incident. Look, that's one of my stores, so I am happy they jumped on this sooner than later. Sephora will close about 460 stores for their workshops and they announced it on their Facebook page. By the way, Sephora even issued a public apology to the singer, via Twitter, saying, "Hi, SZA. We’re sorry to hear about your experience at our Calabasas store and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We want to let you know we take complaints like this very seriously and are actively working with our teams to address the situation immediately."
