You guys know how I get over HBCU's. I represent to the fullest and don't mind telling people why it's so important to protect the HBCU's and the experience. Even after seeing Beyonce's Netflix special performing at Coachella with HBCU band members made my day. So I am very happy to see her husband is getting involved. According to Hip Hop Wired, the Shawn Carter Foundation is doing something great. The foundation has teamed with Toyota for an HBCU bus tour. Yes! You have to love the idea of them exposing kids to black colleges and universities. The seven-day tour will take a select number of students from the New York Metropolitan region and give them insight into the life of a student at an HBCU. The group will meet with former students like themselves who received assistance from the foundation to attend school, along with working with college admissions counselors along the way. The tour will be an 11-college tour.
