Meek Mill is still definitely on his quest to fight for reform criminal justice. He wants to help change the way the probation system works, especially being a product of it. TMZ reports Meek, Van Jones, who is also the CEO of Reform Alliance and works with CNN, and Sixers' co-owner, Michael Rubin, are trying to get a new bill passed. There was a conference Tuesday where they proposed a new legislation to reform the state probation and parole system. The bill aims to prevent the courts from sentencing a person to consecutive probation sentences, prevent the court from extending a person's time on probation or parole due to nonpayment of fines and fees, plus establish a system of incentives that reward good behavior. Meek is hoping to push the House Bill 1925, which has bipartisan support and he hopes to change the statutes and laws.
