I was rooting for happiness with Monica and her husband, Shannon Brown. Monica has filed for a divorce from her former NBA husband, Shannon Brown. According to TMZ, she filed the papers earlier this month in Atlanta. They had been married for about 9 years, having gotten married in 2010. There was rumors of the two having been separated around October 2018, but then she posted an Instagram photo of herself and Shannon. But apparently, she hasn't been wearing her wedding ring lately. Monica and Shannon have a 5-year-old daughter together. And while there is no word on why she filed for divorce, but at least we didn't see any ugliness on social media about their split.
