Philly to Get An Esports Arena Specifically for Gamers

The world of Esports is definitely growing more and more. I feel like every time I turn my head, we are hearing about rapper who are starting their own Esports team. About a month or so ago, Meek Mill announced on Twitter that he was looking for some of the best gamers to join his ESports team. Well now, Philadelphia will have a venue for all of that. According to NBC Sports, Comcast Spectator and The Cordish Companies have announced their plans for a $50 million state-of-the-art Esports venue to be built in the Philadelphia Sports Complex, adjacent to Xfinity Live! The new venue will be called Fusion Arena and it will basically be a home for the Philadelphia Fusion gaming franchise. So you already know the gamers will be coming out of the woodworks and we are pretty sure gaming tournaments will even go down as this new spot. And construction will begin this summer. On top of that, a new venue in the city in the sports complex area, definitely means more revenue for the city.
