Kanye West Wants Off Of Island Def Jam Records After 17 Years

Look, we all know Kanye West has been going through some life changes lately. As we anticipate his next album, there may be more of a delay. Ye' decided to stop talking about politics to work on his next album, which, he went to Africa to work on. Next thing, we saw him working on the album in Chicago then in Miami. Okay, it seems like he is getting inspiration from different places, or he just doesn't know where he wants to be. But while he is still working on his Yandhi album, he now wants off of his current label with Island Def Jam, according to The Blast. He's been on the label for about 17 years now. He claims the company has been exploiting "one of the world's most iconic, multi-faceted, and productive talents. So you already know there is going to be some court wars because Kanye is seeking an order from a judge to make him "free and clear of obligations" owed to Island Def Jam from working with the company for so long. Oh my. It seems like Kanye is about to mess up some more relationships with this move. On top of that, he wants ball all of his master recordings and his legal team says Kanye is owed money for services. So as for Yandi and when we will get the album, since he keeps pushing it back, it may be because he doesn't want to release the album under his contract with Island Def Jam. The Ye' saga continues.
