OWN Cancel's "Love Is" Amid Sexual Abuse Allegations

I never got a chance to really sit and watch OWN scripted series, "Love Is," but now I won't be able to watch the show. The show, which is done by couple Mara Brock Akil and her husband Salim Akil has now been canceled from the network. According to The Jasmine Brand, the cancelation of the show happened just a few weeks after a woman named Amber Dixon Brenner sued Salim Akil alleging she had an affair with him that lasted for about 10 years. And from what she describes, it was a very graphic relationship, from being slapped and forced into having oral sex to other acts. Brenner accused Salim of being physically, sexually and verbally abusive to her and she alleged breach of contract. Salim has denied all of the allegations. Meanwhile, his wife, Mara, took to Instagram with a post about how sad she was the "Love Is" series has to end.
