Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke Have to Pay Marvin Gaye's Estate

Remember a few years ago when Robin Thicke did his "Blurred Lines" song and got in trouble for it? Well Marvin Gaye's estate decided to hit the singer as well as Pharrell Williams and T.I. Since then, it's been like a back and forth legal battle between them and the family. According to CNN, Pharrell and Robin have been ordered to pay $5 million to the late R&B legend’s estate for sampling Marvin's song "Got to Give it Up." Pharrell and Robin were ordered to pay in 2017, more than $7 million but the judgement was reduced to $5.3 million and they appeared the verdict. It seems like since T.I. was a feature on the track, he was basically cleared in this because this is definitely a lot of money. The case has been going on for at least 5 years now with the final judgement of $5 million.
