Pharrell Williams Threatens to Sue President For Playing "Happy"

We can definitely tell who is and who isn't happy with the President. Let's add Pharrell Williams into the mix. The producer isn't happy that the President is using Pharrell's song, Happy. According to The Jasmine Brand, Pharrell is threatening to take legal action and sue the President because the President played "Happy" at a Midwest rally hours after the Tree of Life congregation shooting in Pittsburgh. Pharrell even sent a cease and desist letter through his lawyer. According to Pharrell's lawyer, the letter written said, "On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana. There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose." Basically Pharrell and his people are telling the President he does not give consent this constitutes both copyright and trademark infringement.
