Billboard Will Honor Meek Mill in First Annual Event

Billboard is very important to a lot of artists. It's like getting that gold star in elementary when you've done will in class, but for artists, it's when they are charting like crazy. Billboard is actually trying something different. Billboard has announced its first-ever R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event that is happening this Thursday, Sept. 27. The purpose of the event is to honor those who are driving, influencing and guiding the industry. The event will be exclusive because it's by invite-only where Billboard will recognize the Top 100 artists and executives defining hip-hop culture today. And what's even more dope is that Meek Mill will be honored with the power players impact award for "observing the strength he has demonstrated in the face of America's criminal justice system, and the country's need for justice reform a well as his creative output. That's a good look for Meek.
