Now that's how you give back. LeBron James has opened a school for at-risk youth in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. According to SB Nation, James created the school to help give kids opportunities. The I Promise School opened on Monday and welcomed 240 students and is a part of his LeBron James Family Foundation. The school is also in partnership with Akron public schools and the name of the school comes from the foundations road map for students who promise to go to school, do their homework, listen to teachers, ask questions and find answers, be respectful of others and live a healthy life. Yes! By the way the students will also be stocked with school supplies and the teacher will every all the tools they need, which, is a big problem with a lot of public schools. Good job on looking out, LeBron!
The jitters before the first day of school are real right now!!! Tomorrow is going to be one of the greatest moments (if not the greatest) of my life when we open the #IPROMISE School. This skinny kid from Akron who missed 83 days of school in the 4th grade had big dreams... https://t.co/PwmRaHRfng— LeBron James (@KingJames) July 29, 2018
