BET Cancels "The Rundown with Robin Thede" Over Poor Ratings

Did you get a chance to check out BET's The Rundown with Robin Thede? If not, you won't get a chance to see weekly late night comedy show. BET made Robin Thede the only African American female host in late night TV, but according to Variety, BET has canceled the show. There will not be  second season. The show had great reviews when it first started, but there were poor ratings over the episodes. BET issued a statement saying, "At this time BET Networks has decided not to renew ‘The Rundown with Robin Thede.’ We have so much love and respect for our Unicorn and look forward to finding ways to continue in partnership with Robin." The good thing is, Thede will bounce back because she told Variety that she is already in the development in other projects. Remember, she was also a seasoned comedy writer for one of Comedy Central's talk shows, “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.”
