You should be well aware of Ava DuVernay's black girl magic at this point. After doing the movie "Selma," Ava has been busy with other projects. She currently has her OWN show "Queen Sugar," but her recent movie, "A Wrinkle in Time" has just helped Ava make history. According to The Jasmine Brand, the director has pretty much made history. The movie "A Wrinkle in Time" has grossed over $100 million at the box office, making Ava the first African American female director whose film grossed that much and she is the only 13th African American to do so. Kudos to Ava for making things happen!
