LeBron James Working on HBO Documentary About Unpaid Athletes

There are a lot of great athletes in high school and colleges who basically help their schools make a lot of money. They don't get paid they way professional athletes do. Should that change? According to CBS Sports, LeBron James and Steve Stoute will talk about that issue for HBO. Actually, it will be an HBO Sports documentary. LeBron will serve as the executive producer for "Student Athlete," which digs into the complex nature of amateur athletics in America. The documentary will follow a few athletes as well as a former coach, and others. The documentary will cover how college sports basically exploit their athletes to make revenue for the school, while the players are going through financial hardships. Stoute said the, "NCAA blinded by revenue goals is turning student athletes into full-time employees." The documentary will debut Tuesday, Oct. 2 on HBO at 10:00 p.m.
