Last night was teh 60th Grammys and the show took it back to New York. I tuned in and I have to admit, the show had a lot to do with politics and although there were a lot of great things being said, such as the #TimesUp movement, the show had a lot of ballads being sung. Some of them, stood out more then others because of the message, such as Kesha's performance for her song "Praying." The performance was on time with the movement and it was emotional because she was one of the first artist to speak out about her sexual assault by a producer a few years ago. But as far as winners, shouts to Kendrick Lamar who won for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for Humble. He even won Best Rap/Sung Performance for Loyalty and he won Best Rap Album over Jay Z. And let's not forget about amazing performance. Bruno Mars took home 6 Grammys, winning Album and Record of the year. I was kind of sad to see Sza not win for Best New Artist, but she had a chance to perform at the Grammys and that's still saying a lot. Even Childish Gambino won a Grammy for Redbone for Best Traditional R&B Performance and he even performed as well. If you want a complete list of winners, check it out HERE.
