POWER LIST: MEEK MILL

MEEK MILL

Robert Rihmeek Williams, who is popularly known as Meek Mill, is a hip hop recording artist, born and raised in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Meek first made a name in the rap game as battle or street rapper. Shortly after forming a short lived group called the Bloodhoundz, he signed to his first label by rapper, T.I. in 2008. In 2011, he signed with Miami based rapper, Rick Ross to Maybach Music Group (MMG) but eventually started his own label called: ‘DreamChasers’.

In November of 2017, Meek was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for violating his parole but was released in April 2018 and got straight to work on his latest album, Championships. Championships debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and "Going Bad" hit #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.

Meek Mill teamed up with Jay-Z to co-found the REFORM Alliance Foundation, which aims to reform the criminal justice system and change the probation and parole laws.
