- Wiz Khalifa has joined the club of Hip Hop A-listers who have recently sold a chunk of their catalogs.
- On Thursday (July 6), global investment firm HarbourView Equity Partners closed a deal with the Pittsburg rapper for a portion of his discography and publishing assets. The agreement covers multiple albums, mixtapes and singles that span his prolific career.
- Speaking on the partnership, Wiz said in a press release: “[Founder and CEO] Sherrese [Clarke Soares] and HarbourView truly understand the value of music and artistry. We are excited to partner with them as they continue to build a dynamic media company that is in line with the values and goals we all have here at Taylor Gang.”
- The deal includes hits such as “The Thrill,” “Black & Yellow” and “See You Again,” the latter two of which were nominated for Grammy Awards.
