Lizzo And Live Nation Pledge $1 Million To Abortion Rights Groups

Lizzo and Live Nation have pledged $1 million to abortion rights groups. The singer will donate $500,000, with Live Nation matching the donation.
Initially, Lizzo was going to give the funds to Planned Parenthood, but several people encouraged her to give to another foundation that “removes financial and logistical barriers to abortion access.”
Lizzo sent out a second tweet saying that the funds would be split between Planned Parenthood and the National Network Of Abortion Funds.
“The most important thing is action and loud voices. @PPFA, @AbortionFunds, & organizations like them— will need funding to continue offering services to people who are most harmed by this ban,” Lizzo said. “Black women and women of color have historically had disproportionately less access to family planning resources—this is a great loss but not a new one.”
