Sherri Shepherd to become ‘Permanent Guest Host’ on ‘Wendy Williams Show’

  • After a slew of celebrities have stepped up to host after Wendy Williams went on sick leave last year, a permanent guest host of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ has been named. 
  • Sherri Shepherd will take the reins as host until Wendy is able to return to the show. 
  • Wendy was diagnosed with COVID-19 four month ago, and due “serious complications” from Graves Disease and a thyroid condition, she has had to step away. 
  • Producers say they will monitor Wendy’s progress between now and the start of the show's 15th season in September, and if it appears Wendy is unable to return, they will change the name of the show.
