Tyler Perry Will Finally Get More Writers for Shows and Movies

Tyler Perry is a very busy, yet, successful man. Of course many know him by his iconic character, Madea. But he has done plays, television shows and movies and can you believe he has written everything on his own? He tweeted many scripts back in January 2020 and said that he doesn't have writers, no writing team. Everything he does, it's all him. He writes all of his scripts and storylines. When he made that post, a lot of people reacted a bit differently from what he may have thought; people criticized him for his characters as well as being creative. But it seems like Tyler is going to let go some of that control. According to Hollywood Reporter, Tyler said he will write for a few more years then allow others to continue the shows he has created. Tyler said, “For the past six weeks, I was in the mountains. I wrote 72 episodes of television — just me in a room by myself, sitting out there, looking at the moose and the mountains. I treat it like a job. Every morning, after I work out, I start writing at 7 and don’t finish until 7 in the evening. I do that every day until it’s done. I love it. And I love directing for 12- or 15-hour days.” But he continued with a realization saying, “I realize there’s so much more that I could be doing if I were to hand some of the other stuff off — rather than doing it all myself.” Well he said he will allow others to help out in 3-4 years, so we will see if some of his shows change up with the new idea of having other writers.
