Kobe Bryants Estate To Get $400 Million After Coca-Cola Buys BodyArmor

Coca-Cola just made a huge purchase. The company has just acquired the sports drink, BodyArmor. According to Sports Illustrated, Coke made the announcement it bought the company for $5.6 billion in a cash deal. This acquisition is the biggest one Coke has made in it's history. And with that in mind, Kobe Bryant's estate also gets money from that deal. His estate is set to receive $400 million from the acquisition. How so? Well, when the BodyArmor was just starting out, Kobe invested $6 million in the company and became a major shareholder in the company back in 2013. His investment entitled him to 10 percent of the company. The founder of BodyArmor, Mike Repole said, "If it wasn’t for Kobe Bryant’s vision and belief, BODYARMOR would not have been able to achieve the success we had." That's a major move.
