Jussie Smollett Trial Set To Start in November

  • The trial against former Empire star Jussie Smollett is set to begin next month.
  • A judge denied a motion to dismiss the trial against Smollett and his 2019 hate crime hoax. 
  • Jussie has been charged with disorderly conduct after prosecutors say he allegedly staged an attack against him back in 2019. 
  • On top of that, Smollett faces a lawsuit from the City of Chicago to the tune of $130,000 to cover the cost of police investigating the alleged hoax.
