Jay-Z To Appear In Court After Defaulting On Perfume Deal

  • Jay-Z has been summoned to appear in court for an in-person testimony in a lawsuit against him from Parlux Fragrances five years ago.
  • Parlux is suing Jay-Z for breaching a contract he entered into in 2012 for his Gold by Jay-Z fragrance. The company states that Jay refused to promote the brand which cost them $18 million due to his lack of participation.
  • Jay is counter suing the brand, saying he’s still owed $2.7 million from Parlux. He gave a video disposition on October 1st, however the judge says he wants Jay to appear in person to expedite the process.
