The Verdict is In: R. Kelly Guilty in Sex Crimes Trial

That is officially the end of R. Kelly. His sex crimes trial in New York had been going on for some weeks now with a lot of testimony from people with statements of what they witnessed or what happened to them. There were some people who took the stand and said they never saw R. Kelly treat women bad. Well, that didn't help his outcome in the courthouse. TMZ reports he has been found guilty on all counts in his federal sex crimes trial. It took the jury a while to deliberate because they started on Friday and took half of Monday. R. Kelly was found guilty on 9 federal counts including racketeering, sex crimes, human trafficking and even obstruction of justice and kidnapping. One of R. Kelly's lawyer was surprised at the verdict. As far as R. Kelly's sentencing, it is scheduled for May 4 but he could get 10 years to life. R. Kelly's lawyer was surprised at the verdict. He also has a federal trial in Chicago and state trials in Illinois and Minnesota.
