Although school is back in session, there is still a national bus driver shortage. Just last week, I mentioned that the Philadelphia School District was offering to pay parents to take their kids to school. Well it looks like Camden School District is following suit. The district is offering a $1000 contract to the parents. So how does it work? Of course, you have to drive your kid to and from school. But according to NBC 10, only 75 families have signed up for the money. The budget it not a problem for those who want to sign up. So here is how you will qualify: your child must be eligible for transportation services; the child must attend a Camden city school; a household member must have a current license, vehicle registration, and insurance with $15,000 liability coverage.
