Beyonce and Jay-Z Team With Tiffany & Co for HBCU Scholarships

Jay-Z and Queen B know how to take a crazy situation and make some good of it. When Jay and Beyonce posed and basically announced their partnership with Tiffany & Co. for their "About Love" campaign, Beyonce rocked a huge yellow diamond. However, there were some criticism with some saying they were shocked that the superstar would wear a blood diamond, considering what she stands for. Beyonce nor Jay ever spoke up about the blood diamond comments. But they can spin something into beauty because Jay and Bey's Tiffany partnership has also partnered with the launch of the new About Love Scholarship program with BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation, which was created for students at historically Black colleges and universities pursuing creative fields, according to Variety. Yes, they are looking out for the students at HBCUs. It won't be for every HBCU, but it's something. Tiffany & Co. has pledged $2 million in scholarship funding for students in the arts at HBCUs. The small private and select state schools that will be awarded funding include Lincoln University, Norfolk State University, Bennett College, University of Arkansas, and Central State University. So if you know someone who can apply, let them know online applications will open at each participating school on Sept. 10 (today) and close on Sept. 26.
