26 Year Old Man Jumps Into Alligator Infested Waters Because He Was Bored!!

An idle mind is a terrible thing to waste! 26-year-old Jimmy Ivan Jennings jumps fully clothed into alligator infested waters because... he was bored. Jennings, a Louisiana man, was stuck on a Lafayette County bridge in traffic due to a multi-car collision that lasted roughly 2 hours. According to the Nydailynews.com, “We were bored inside the truck… I looked over down at the water and it didn’t seem too far“. Jennings told the nydailynews.com once he jumped, he asked God for forgiveness and he forgave everyone in his life as he realize this may be the stupidest idea. He was right!

Upon impact of jumping off the bridge, he injured his left arm and learn quickly, the water current was too strong. Jennings treaded the high current for nearly 3 hours. Luckily for Jennings, according to the nydailymail.com, "Finally the current weakened enough that he was able to crawl onto the shore. He stumbled around barefoot until he found a four-wheel ATV that helped him soon realize he was on a small island. He then borrowed a boat to reach another shore. Eventually, authorities found and handcuffed him."

Aside from the injuries he sustained, he was also charged with mischief and other charges that that were not disclosed. Ultimately, according to the nydailynews.com, he promised he’ll never attempt anything similar in a future...I don’t even want to swim anymore. Moral of the story, you can't swim away from your problems!
