Jay-Z Sues Album Cover Photographer For Using His Likeness

Jay-Z has been in the game for over a decade and of course people are familiar with his look and most likely, the cover of some of his albums. Remember Jay'z Reasonable Doubt album cover? Well, Jay is mad at the photographer who did that album cover. According to TMZ, Jay is suing the photographer, Jonathan Mannion claiming the photographer is using Jay's image and likeness without his permission. How so? Well, Mannion has Jay'z name and likeness all over his website and sells photos of the rapper as well, and Jay didn't give permission to do so. And even though Mannion took the photos for the album back in 1996, Jay-Z paid the man a pretty penny. Even when he asked Mannion to stop using his image and likeness, Mannion demanded tens of millions of dollars. Jay thinks Mannion is arrogant, because he thinks since he took the pictures, he can do what he wants. Mannion's rep says he is hoping Jay would respect the rights of artists who helped him get to be the artist he is today. But if Jay paid that man back then, that should have been it.
