Philly's Annual Naked Bike Ride Only Requirement Is To Wear Your Mask!

On August 28th, 2021 expect to see a lot nakedness in Philly.

Philly’s Annual Naked Bike Ride is set to happen this year as COVID restrictions in Philly lift. The only requirement is for participants to wear their masks!

Organizers of this event due to the potential risks last year, refrained from hosting for obvious reasons. This year, they want to protect all parties participating in the bike ride to have fun while wearing a mask. Although the CDC guidelines have given the green life for masks to be optional, they do not want to take any risks. According to the lead organizer Wesley Noonan- Sessa, They’re going to stick with our initial mask guidance.

The Philly Naked Bike event typically hosts thousands of cyclists to support and promote body positivity, and advocate for safety of cyclist and protest dependence on fossil fuel. This is a 10 Mile course from Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell to the Art museum steps. The day normally begins with a gathering of people in a park, they then stripped their clothes, and paint each other‘s bodies before the ride.

Due to the pandemic, all planning surrounding this event for last year was obviously postponed, so the organizers plan to keep an eye on the pandemic over the few months to keep everyone safe.
