"The Game" Reboot is Happening with Original Cast Members

Remember when the football comedy series "The Game" was out and everyone was trying to figure out what was going to happen with Mel and Derwin? The show started out on CW then moved to BET with new characters, then that was it. But it looks like if you were a fan of that show, you will be happy to know a reboot is in the works. According to Deadline, Paramount + had ordered about 10 of the episodes of the series that was originally started by Mara Brock Akil. And the dramedy will see a few familiar faces reprising their roles like Hosea Chanchez who played Malik, as well as Wendy Raquel Robinson, who played his mom, Tasha Mack. Mara stated, according to The Jasmine Brand, "Fifteen years ago I created The Game and am so proud of the success we had, and that I was able to create characters and stories that resonated with so many people. I couldn’t be happier about leaving my beloved characters like Tasha Mack and Malik Wright in the hands of Devon, Wendy, and Hosea, who I know will build off of the rich foundation the show has." Are you ready for the reboot?
