Saturday was a sight to see as the world said their goodbyes to DMX, Earl Simmons. His close friends and family members were in attendance at the Barclays Center, but before that, many fans and Ruff Ryder bikers were representing for the rapper whose coffin was taken to the Barclays Center on a monster truck. His family and friends all gave kind remarks, including his ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, who brought on stage, DMX's fiancee, Desiree Lindstrom, according to TMZ. But also, a few days ago, I mentioned Swizz was trying to reach out to Kanye West to have him attend the services. DMX came out to one of Kanye's Sunday Services over a year ago and gave prayer, so it was only right Kanye returned the favor. Kanye had his Sunday Service choir there, on top of the performance, Swizz alluded to the face that Kanye's team designed the stage for the performance and speeches as well. But that's not it. Kanye West helped out the family of DMX. Kanye raised $1 million for DMX's family from a custom T-shirt designed by by Balenciaga and commissioned by the Yeezy brand. The shirts were about $200 and sold out in 24 hours. The profits will go towards the family.
