Protests Erupt in Minnesota Over Daunte Wright's Death by Officer

It has happened again. Another black man has been shot and killed by an officer. Police pulled Daunte Wright over during a traffic stop because of an expired tag but when they looked more into it, he was wanted for an outstanding warrant over a gun charge. When they police were trying to cuff Daunte, he tried to get back into his car when a female officer pulled her handgun and started shooting at him, which it was revealed Daunte died from a gunshot wound to his chest. But here is what's crazy. The police chief says he believe the officer was meant to go for her taser and mistakenly pulled her gun. Of course people are pissed and even Mayor Mike Elliott is calling for the officer to be fired and not on administrative leave. Brooklyn Center's Mayor Elliott told Today he understands the situation and is asking the protestors to please be peaceful and he acknowledged that he believes the country needs transformation because a black person being pulled over by police, you have a higher chance of being dead. At least he knows and he put that statement out there for everyone to hear because this is tiring and people are tired and the protesting shows their frustration.
