President Biden Makes First Primetime Address and Mentions Vaccine

President Joe Biden made his first primetime address to the nation on Thursday night. Yesterday marked a year that we went into lockdown and the coronavirus was deemed a pandemic. Fast forward and now states are administering vaccines to help fight the COVID-19. On top of that, before the vaccines, states were slowly trying to get back to a sense of normalcy. Well during President Biden's speech, he said he wanted to make sure all adults are eligible for the vaccine on May 1, according to People. Of course there are currently phases for which people can currently receive the vaccines. But Biden set the date for everyone in just a few months. He did say you won't be able to get it that day, but you will be eligible. The White House is hoping to have enough doses by May 31. Plus the President said we may really see a sense of normalcy by July 4. He said we may be able to gather with loved ones by that time. This announcement comes on the heels of the passing of the COVID relief bill, which many Americans will start getting $1,400 checks as soon as this and next week.
