Tiger Woods Will Need Pins and Screws to Repair Leg After Car Accident

Send your prayers up for Tiger Woods. You always have to see athletes injured because you know it could be bad for their career. On Wednesday, Tiger was involved in a single-car accident in California. His car was banged up so bad, help had to use the jaws of life to get Tiger out of his SUV. Thankfully alive, Tiger did suffer serious fractures to his legs. According to Tiger's doctor, the bone in his right leg was shattered in at least 2 places and broke through the skin so doctors used a rod to stabilize it, according to Tiger's medical team. A doctor even issued a statement describing Tiger's injuries. Dr. Anish Mahajan also said Tiger also suffered serious injuries to his right ankle and foot, which were stabilized "with a combination of screws and pins." This definitely sounds painful. Tiger's people issued a statement via Twitter where they also explain the situation of the golf player. He is awake and responsive and is recovering in the hospital.
