Inauguration Poet Amanda Gorman To Recite New Poem At Super Bowl

  • Amanda Gorman, the 22-year-old 'youth poet laureate' who performed at Joe Biden's inauguration, is heading to the Super Bowl.
  • Gorman will recite a new poem as part of the Super Bowl LV pregame ceremonies. It will recognize three people selected by the NFL as honorary game captains: L.A. teacher Trimaine Davis, Tampa nurse Suzie Dorner, and Marine veteran James Martin.
  • Gorman drew widespread praise for her reading of the original poem "The Hill We Climb" at the inauguration, and is the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate.
  • On Monday, the 22-year-old Harvard graduate completed a deal with IMG Models, which represents fashion heavyweights like Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen, the agency confirmed to CNN.
