At the end of last week, people were on Danileigh's ass. Of course she dates DaBaby and the two have been making that very well-known for a while now. And we get it, you get into a relationship and you're happy. She was so happy, she kind of made a song about it. Danileigh made a song called "Yellow Bone" where she "Yellow Bone is what he wants," referring to DaBaby's choice of women. While it may seem harmless, it definitely didn't sit well with black women. Many of them checked Danileigh saying it was a diss to DaBaby's baby's mother, who is dark-skinned (and is known for an on and off-again relationship with the rapper). She called people haters asking why can't she make a song about her "light skin baddies." But many women came at Danilieigh saying she felt inferior to women of darker complexions. Basically, this wasn't the time to praise light skin and when you think about it, it's because many darker women have been looked over for the more fair-skinned complexion. Not a good move, Danileigh. Well, she issued an apology. Kind of. Danileigh tried to defend the reason behind her song and said she apologized if it offended anyone, because she dates a chocolate man and has darker-skinned friends. Yeah, those are things you don't say when apologizing about a sensitive topic, but hey, we get it.
