Breonna Taylor's Family Reaches Settlement with the City of Louisville

We are still waiting for real justice for the death of Breonna Taylor. For instance, the cops who shot her still have not been arrested or charged. However, the family did get one win. They sued the city of Louisville, Kentucky for wrongful death. Of course, Breonna was shot in her home by police trying to search the home with a no-knock warrant while she and her boyfriend were sleep. According to TMZ, the family of Breonna has reached a historic settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit. It was a $12 million settlement that is the largest amount ever for a black woman in a wrongful death lawsuit. The family's settlement also included a list of police reforms aimed at accountability and the execution of search warrants in the city. This is just one win, but of course the battle to get justice for Breonna is not over.
