Russell Westbook to Produce Docuseries About Tulsa Massacre

Don't you wish you really learned of black history in school. There are things are that never mentioned. When HBO premiered its show "The Watchmen," it started with a scene that was about Black Wallstreet in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was a massacre and that's what it was called. This happened at least 100 years ago but you may not always hear about it. It was a location in Tulsa where black people were striving until the hate groups came in. But if you never knew about it, you will get a chance to learn because NBA player, Russell Westbrook is about to produce a docuseries about that time in 1921in Tulsa with the race riots. According to Variety, he will executive produce the series, "Terror in Tulsa:The Rise And Fall Of Black Wall Street." The Tulsa massacre is considered one of the nation’s worst incidents of racial violence, after a white mob attacked the predominantly black Greenwood district looting and burning homes and businesses. Russell said, "It’s important we uncover the buried stories of African Americans in this country. We must amplify them now more than ever if we want to create change moving forward."
