Philly "End Racism Now" Street to Stay a Little Longer

Over the weekend, many cities painted their streets with words like "Black Lives Matter" in DC. Even here in Philly, in the Fishtown area, you will see the words "End Racism Now" in bright yellow painted on the streets. It's located off Girard and Montgomery Avenues. According to CB3, Pastor John Brice of St. James United Methodist Church, organized it and wanted to make it permanent but couldn't get the permit in time. The pastor was under pressure to have it removed and the fire department tried to wash it away, but it didn't work. So basically, the words will remain on the street a little longer until it fades away on its own. Apparently there were some people who were concerned over the safety, for instance, people coming to possibly see the words, but the Philadelphia Fire Department tweeted they will let it fade after trying to hose the paint away.
