Jordan Peele and JJ Abrams Link Up For HBO's "Lovecraft Country"

Jordan Peele has gone from the comedy world and has been hitting up with thriller and horror movies and shows lately. But he has teamed up with a familiar name, JJ Abrams who does a lot Sci-Fi flicks, such as the recent Star Wars movies, to bring us something special. The two have teamed up to work on and new HBO series called Lovecraft Country. According to Hip Hop Wired, the show is set in the 1950s Jim Crow America. and follows Atticus Freeman, played by Jonathan Majors and his friend Letitia, played by Jurnee Smollett-Bell, as they travel through the racist south in search of Atticus’ father, played by Michael K. Williams who’s gone missing. They deal with not only the supernatural but also the racism. The show is set to premiere in August. Check out the trailer.
