Gov. Tom Wolfs Says Schools To Remain Closed Through Academic Year

Parents, if you were hoping to be done with home schooling, then I am sorry to disappoint you. It looks like the kids will remain home for the rest of the academic school year, at least for Pennsylvania. At one point, Gov. Tom Wolf said schools will remain closed indefinitely, but it wasn't until Thursday morning he made the announcement that schools will remain closed for the rest of the academic school year due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to The Inquirer. There have been many other states who have shut down their schools. But of course the learning will not stop. The governor's office said that schools are strongly encouraged to provide continuity of education for all students in the most appropriate and accessible ways possible. So parents, don't pull out your hair! In Philadelphia the district plans to begin a remote learning program the week of April 20.
