A lot of people are coming together at this time with the coronavirus pandemic. This is the type of kindness that makes you stay positive. We've heard of a lot of celebrities donating money towards masks and protective gear for the medical professionals. We have even heard of celebs helping out staff members who were laid off on their teams, like sports, respectively. Some company CEO's are forgoing salaries to help their employees in these hard times. But you can add a few more celebrities to the list of the likes of Joel Embiid, Drew Brees, Ciara and Russell Wilson because Jay-Z and Rihanna are stepping up as well. According to Variety, Rihanna and Jay-Z are teaming up through their foundations to donate a combined $2 million to help with the COVID-19 relief efforts. Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation has already made donations to the relief effort, but on has also announced that an additional $1 million in grants towards COVID-19 response efforts will be matched by Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation. The money will support undocumented workers, the children of frontline health workers and first responders, and incarcerated, elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles. It's stories like this that make you realize there is kindness still in the world.
